Botox Injections
Botox cosmetic injections are one of the most popular procedures performed here at Gilbert Skin and Laser Center. Botox is a purified protein that gently softens excessive muscular contractions. Using tiny injections, Botox is precisely delivered only to specific facial muscles. This relaxation can smooth the appearance of wrinkles and decrease that tired, angry look. This procedure takes just a few minutes and usually lasts from 3-4 months. Examples of areas treated include the area between the eyebrows, crows feet, and forehead lines. Most areas will require 25-30 units for women and generally more for men. Side effects are rare and include a droopy eyelid which will last only 2-4 weeks, and occasional bruising. Maintaining your Botox™ treatments every 3-4 months means a continued softening of your fine lines.
